The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has been entrusted with the development of the North-South Corridor connecting Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir) to Kanyakumari (Tamil Nadu) including Cochin-Salem spur and East-West Corridor connecting Silchar (Assam) to Porbander (Gujarat). The project is located on National Highway -1A and involves Feasibility Study and Detailed Project Report for Four Laning of Udhampur to Banihal, Km.66 to Km.188 (Consultancy Package No. C-III/25, 23) of National Highways under Phase - III Program of North- South Corridors.
